Posted by cyberdesignz, under Health + FoodIn the past, many doctors have suggested that hormone replacement therapy is very effective during the phases of menopause, especially when women are trying to find relief from mood swings, hot flashes, and insomnia. Evidence suggests that there are many benefits of hormone therapy for making the bones strong and reducing the chances of heart disease. It also lessens the chances of stroke and blood clot during this period according to latest study.
Research also suggests that women who start the hormone therapy that includes both progestin and estrogen have a much higher risk of breast cancer as compared to those who do not have it. There is evidence which states that taking the hormones for almost five years after the period of menopause might breast cancer in seven out of 1000 women, as compared to those who do not use the hormone treatment or Hormone Replacement Therapy.
Studies also suggest that 15 out of 1,000 women do not use hormones might be diagnosed with breast cancer in the next five years. It is quite clear that as women become old, there are more chances of developing breast cancer. After the menopause, four out of 1,000 women who take estrogen after the period of menopause in the next five years are much more likely to develop the breast cancer.
The cells of breast cancer get deprived of the estrogen for a certain time period especially when they are exposed to various hormones and instead of promoting growth, they result in developing cancer cells.
